During a home inspection we provide you with a detailed inspection of your home focusing on the nine primary areas of the home to help you understand your home. We provide you with a full report with action steps, safety inspections, pre drywall inspection and we provide quality customer service. Areas covered include foundation, exterior, roof, plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, interior and appliances.
We inspect the crawl space, foundation for drainage and moisture, siding, windows and doors, roof and attic, water heaters, furnaces and air conditioners, non-cosmetic interior conditions, ovens and dishwashers. We use state-of-the art equipment and techniques including IR/ FLIR technology and we undergo annual continuing education to stay on top of the latest issues in our field. Radon Testing & Pest Inspections
Many people are surprised to find out that we do in fact have elevated radon in our area and the EPA recommends that all homes be tested for radon. Elevated radon levels have been found throughout the Triangle including Chapel Hill, Apex, Cary, Durham, Hillsborough, Pittsboro, Burlington, Mebane, Graham and Greensboro. Whether you have a slab, encapsulated crawl space, vented crawl space or basement home they all should be tested (we have found elevated radon in each of these types of construction). We provide 48-hour radon testing using electronic testing devices (Sun Nuclear) under closed conditions.
Termites and other wood-destroying insects are prevalent in our area and most lenders will require a pest inspection conducted by a licensed exterminator- we work with highly qualified exterminators to conduct the pest inspection at the same time as our home inspection and you receive a separate WDIR Report to provide to your lender. We schedule the exterminator and all payments are handled under the same invoice for your convenience.
