Why Inspect My New Home

 People ask "do I need a home inspection?", "what is the reason for home inspections?", "Is it worth the home inspection cost?". Almost daily we find issues with homes of all ages, sizes, costs and communities that have serious deficiencies, many of which can pose serious life-safety risks. 


Many issues we encounter involve electrical, HVAC, gas, and moisture-related issues that may not be readily obvious. A casual "look over" is not the same as a home inspection that can often take between 3-4 hours. 


Even new homes are seldom "perfect". Many would assume that new home construction inspections would not be necessary; however, our experience shows us otherwise. We provide new home inspections and serve Cary, Mebane, Burlington, Greensboro and Chapel Hill. Again, even in some of our area's highest cost communities we find serious deficiencies.  Budget cutbacks at the municipal level, coupled with construction boom cycles, and we can end up with code officers over-stretched and issues can fall through the cracks.
